Invited sessions for JSM 2005
May 27 2004
Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is time to organize invited sessions for JSM 2005. Proposals for invited sessions will be accepted on-line at the amstat.org website between June 18 and July 18, 2004. The 2005 meetings have more slots for invited sessions than ever before, increasing our opportunities for full-length discussions of important topics.
The theme of the 2005 meetings in Minneapolis is "Using Our Discipline to Enhance Human Welfare." Consistency with the theme is encouraged, but not required. The format of an invited session can be a single paper with series of discussions; a series of papers followed by a discussion(s); panel discussion; tutorial; workshop; demonstration; mock trial; debate; etc. The options are wide, so be creative!
I welcome your suggestions for topics in survey research methods, and suggestions for speakers or session organizers. I look forward to your proposals for invited sessions.
