The Web Survey Methodology monograph has reached 1000 citations in Google Scholar

The book Web Survey Methodology by dr. Mario Callegaro, dr. Vasja Vehovar and dr. Katja Lozar Manfreda, both from the Centre for Social Informatics, has reached a thousand citations in the Google Scholar database.

Abstract

Since its publication in 2015, Web Survey Methodology by dr. Mario Callegaro and Centre for Social Informatics members dr. Vasja Vehovar and dr. Katja Lozar Manfreda has become the most cited monograph dedicated to web surveys due to its exhaustive and systematic elaboration. On July 7th 2026, it also reached the milestone of 1000 citations in Google Scholar.

The book provides a comprehensive guide to web survey methodology, with a sustained focus on methodological principles and conceptual foundations, developed systematically across twelve stages of the web survey process, providing both a coherent knowledge framework and practical guidance for researchers. It was recently also translated to Chinese.
